Goshala

Goshala is a loving shelter dedicated to the care and protection of cows, revered in Vedic culture as symbols of motherhood and purity. At Hare Krishna Movement’s Goshala, cows are not only nurtured with love and respect but are also treated as spiritual beings. We provide them with a safe environment, natural fodder, medical care, and the freedom to live peacefully. Our Goshala also serves as a platform to educate the community on the importance of cow protection and sustainable living, in line with our Vedic traditions.

Annadan seva

In the Vedic tradition, feeding the hungry is regarded as the most sacred and selfless form of charity. It is not just an act of kindness—it is an offering that nourishes both the body and the soul. The Taittiriya Upanishad emphasizes this principle with the words: “Annam bahu kurveet” – “Let food be produced in abundance, for all must be fed.”      The Bhagavad Gita (3.13) teaches that those who prepare and offer food to the Supreme Lord before eating are released from all sin. When food is offered to Lord Krishna and then distributed as prasadam, it becomes sanctified and spiritually uplifting for both the giver and the receiver.  Engaging in Annadāna (the donation of food) brings eternal spiritual merit. It fosters compassion, service, and divine connection. Through this sacred act, we not only serve humanity but also please the Supreme Lord.   Let us embrace this noble tradition and share the blessings of prasadam with all. In doing so, we partake in a timeless Vedic practice that purifies the heart and uplifts the soul.
